Destiny's mission is REVIVAL... the expansion of God's Kingdom through His manifest presence.
Destiny's vision is to play a role in bringing of the restoration of apostles and prophets to the Church to take their place alongside evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Together these "five-fold" ministers will equip the believers for the work of the ministry the way God intended and the entire earth will witness the greatest move of God ever (Ephesians 4:11-12). The end-time destiny of the Church cannot be realized until the five-fold leaders are all in place and functioning in unity.
Along with the restoration of the offices of apostle and prophet, we believe God is restoring all the gifts of the Spirit which were active in the early Church. Equipping believers for the work of the ministry includes teaching them in the prophetic (revelation) gifts and apostolic (miracle) gifts. To prophesy is to speak forth the word and heart of God, and to do apostolic works is to do what Jesus did: "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give" (Matthew 10:8). As the Church does this, the world will be impacted and there will be a great harvest of souls.
As a result of the restoration of the apostles and prophets, we at Destiny in Christ Fellowship see the following trends emerging in our fellowship:
- Emphasis of the importance of signs, wonders, and miracles (especially healing and deliverance). This will prevent the Church from depending too much on rational, intellectual, and traditional ways of approaching ministry. Greater demonstrations of the power of God as we pursue and encounter His presence.
- Revelation and insight into the Word of God. There is a present emphasis on the ministry of “inspired teachers” who will prepare the Body of Christ to walk in the powers of the age to come. Portions of Scripture will come alive and be relevant for this end-times move.
- Releasing the saints into their individual destinies and purposes. Confirming and activating Believers into their gifts and callings which empower them to do the works of Jesus Christ. This will assure a continual supply of new ministries for the expansion of the Kingdom.
- Maintaining an atmosphere of liberty in our meetings that will be conducive for the moving of the Holy Spirit and operation of the gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy.
- Greater release of the spirit of prayer and intercession. Increased burden for prayer and intercession. The release of prophetic prayer warriors for regions and territories. Restoration of all night prayer, citywide prayer, watch of the Lord, and corporate prayer.
- Encourage the baptism of the Holy Spirit as the doorway into the supernatural realm and Spirit-filled living. Emphasize the importance of utterance, including tongues and prophecy, along with impartation and release of these through the laying on of hands.
- Greater manifestation of God's glory in the Church. always seeking for a greater measure of His glory. What is better? What else is there? What you behold is what you release! The greatest privilege, the greatest treasure we have to give away is the glory/presence of the Lord.
- Releasing the prophetic, including personal prophecy, corporate prophecy, prophetic teams and companies, prophets, prophetic worship, arts, dance, banners, and prophetic teaching and preaching.
- Emphasis on discipleship through “home groups”. Releasing more Believers to share their gifts with the Body.
- Raising up a “Breakthrough Generation” of young men & women on fire for God.
- Relieving and helping the poor, orphans, and widows. A greater release of good works.
- Greater emphasis on outreach, street ministry, prayer walking. Greater visibility outside of the four walls of the church.
- Establishing the Kingdom into new regions and territories through church planting. Raising up churches that will have a sending and releasing mentality.
