“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11

Store House of Destiny

The Lord speaks to us throughout both the Old and New Testaments to give to those in need. To provide for the weak, the hungry, the unclothed, those without shelter. Whether it is feeding the community, giving to the shelters, ministering to the homeless or providing during emergencies, the desire of the Storehouse is to be able to do this. To speak of and show the love of Christ!

However, the vision of the Storehouse of Destiny goes beyond being simply a food pantry. Our desire is to provide relief and a hand up. Eventually being a place of refuge for a time, from the storms of this world. To tell people of Jeremiah 29:11, that God has plans for them, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them a hope and future.

Whether it be parolees, elderly poor, the homeless or youth in need, the Storehouse seeks to be a place where any of the ministries of the church can come to for provision.

James 2:14-17 (NIV)
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

1 John 3:17 (NIV)
If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?

Proverbs 19:17 (NIV)
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Proverbs 22:9 (NIV)
The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.
